Your life comprises 8 puzzle pieces of holistic wellness: spiritual, emotional, mental, physical, social, environmental, financial, and occupational. It is necessary for all these pieces to be well inter-linked to fit into each other to be your “whole self”.
After all, wellness is much more than just the three distinct looks the social media is being trending with: young, thin and healthy and we all are falling for it. We are under tremendous stress to maintain our health & well-being that we start to lose the other pieces to our life circumstances. Whilst, physical health is still an important piece to play, there is also another huge piece which is rapidly disappearing due to ignorance and harmful stigmas: Mental Health.
An imbalance in social relationships may have shifted the emotional, mental, physical and occupational pieces. In a broader sense, mistrust, racing thoughts, social insecurities, isolation, covert behavior at the workplace/school. It is important to note that as we interconnect our life pieces together, it begins to influence and shadow a healthy affect on one another.
